Education

As part of the Tenmile Creek Erosion Prevention and Riparian Restoration Project grant, be will be working with classes at Laytonville Elementary School to help students with stream and watershed studies. Students can get involved in scientific monitoring of Tenmile Creek including fish, water and air temperature, riparian conditions and sediment effects. Our assistance in classrooms will include guest lectures, field trips, posters for classroom walls and opportunities for Science Fair projects.

During the 2022-2023 school year, we will provide field trips to the restoration sites. Teachers who want to be involved can call Pat Higgins at 707 223-7200. Here are some photos from a field trip on the last day of school, June, 2022.
